Eclipse Experience

Total Solar Eclipse at Sea — August 12, 2026

A Once-in-a-Lifetime Opportunity!

⚫ The Eclipse Experience is a unique opportunity to witness one of the most impressive astronomical phenomena from the sea, facing the coast of Menorca.

This is not just a sunset cruise. It is a historic moment that very few people will ever experience again from such a special location.

We set sail in the afternoon from Cala’n Bosch, cruising along the southwest coast of Menorca while enjoying the atmosphere of the sea at sunset, as we position ourselves in front of the Cap d’Artrutx Lighthouse to experience the eclipse at the best moment of the day.

During the journey, we will witness the changing light, the silence of the sea and the arrival of totality, when day turns into night for a few unforgettable minutes over the Mediterranean.

An experience designed to inspire emotion, disconnect from routine and create memories for a lifetime.

Frequently Asked Questions

📍 Where is the exact boarding point?

The excursion departs from our base port in Cala’n Bosch (view on Maps)

For this experience, we recommend Priority Boarding if you would like to sit on the upper deck, as seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. With Priority Boarding, you can skip the queue and board first (available online or at the kiosk for an additional 5€ per person).

⏰ What time should we arrive for check-in?

Due to the expected heavy traffic and the large number of visitors on the island during eclipse day, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before departure. Boarding closes 5 minutes before departure. Please allow enough time for traffic and parking. The boat must depart on time.

🚗 Is there parking near the marina?

Yes, there are several public parking areas near Cala’n Bosch Marina, all within walking distance. However, due to the eclipse event, traffic and parking are expected to be busier than usual, so we strongly recommend arriving early. We will not be able to accommodate late arrivals.

🌅 Where will we be during the eclipse?

During the Total Solar Eclipse, the boat will be sailing from a privileged location off the southwest coast of Menorca, near the Cap d’Artrutx Lighthouse. Thanks to the collaboration with a group of professional nature photographers, we have identified one of the best possible locations to observe the eclipse from the sea, with a completely unobstructed horizon. From there, you will have a perfect view of the sky and the eclipse over the Mediterranean. As the sun sets and the eclipse reaches its most spectacular moment, you will be surrounded by the open sea, the Cap d’Artrutx Lighthouse and the coastline of Menorca, creating a truly unique setting to experience this extraordinary astronomical event.

🕶 Do I need to bring eclipse glasses?

No. Certified eclipse glasses are included in the welcome pack you will receive on board. These glasses will allow you to observe the eclipse safely.

🌤 What happens if the weather is not good?

The route may be adjusted depending on weather and sea conditions. However, if conditions do not allow safe navigation or it is not possible to observe the eclipse, the eclipse experience may be cancelled. In that case, guests may join a regular sunset cruise or receive a full refund. This decision is made by the captain on the same day of the excursion, depending on safety and visibility conditions.
