Discovery Tour

An essential journey through the most authentic Menorca

The most complete excursion to discover Menorca’s most famous coves, sail along cliffs and explore marine life at a relaxed pace.

The Discovery Tour is our most complete excursion: it combines sailing, coves, swimming, snorkelling and marine discovery in a single experience.
If this is your first time in Menorca, this is the excursion you simply can’t miss.

We depart from Cala’n Bosch to explore the spectacular south coast of Menorca, sailing past iconic coves such as Son Saura, Cala Turqueta, Macarella, Mitjana or Trebalúger, as well as sea caves and natural corners inaccessible by land.

🏖️ Much more than just an excursion

During the 1-hour stop at a virgin beach, you can:

⭐ Swim in turquoise waters
⭐ Slide down our water slides
⭐ Go snorkelling to discover marine life
See the fish thanks to our underwater viewing system ReflexSystem®

All of this is accompanied by music and a great atmosphere on board.

⚠️ Important information

  • Due to the nature of some coves, access to the beach from the boat may be difficult for certain people. We recommend wearing comfortable footwear.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does the Discovery Tour depart from and at what time?

The excursion departs from our home port in Cala en Bosch (view Maps) every day at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, although this may vary depending on the different stages of the season. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before departure if you do not have Priority Boarding, and 20 minutes before if you do, as this allows you to skip the queue and board first (available online or at the kiosk for an additional €5 per person).

Boarding closes 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

How much does the excursion cost and how long does it last?

The excursion lasts 3.5 hours and the general price is €32 for adults (+12 years), €16 for children (3 to 12 years) and free for babies (0–2 years).

Priority Boarding costs an additional €5 per person and allows you to skip the queue and be among the first to board.

Which beaches and places are visited during the tour?

During the route we sail past some of the most iconic beaches on the south coast of Menorca, many of them only accessible on foot or by boat. Highlights include:

Cala’n Turqueta, Cala Macarella, Cala Mitjana and Cala Trebalúger, as well as impressive sea caves, cliffs and wildlife that you will discover along the way.

What services are available on board?

On board you will find everything you need to enjoy the journey in comfort:

  • Toilets
  • Cafeteria & Bar (view digital menu)
  • Padded seating with tables
  • Free multilingual audio guides with exclusive content on your own mobile device
  • Background music to enhance the experience

In addition, our crew will always be available to help you and make your experience even more enjoyable.

What stops and activities are included in the excursion?

We make a stop at one of the most outstanding unspoilt beaches on the south coast so you can:

  • Access the beach directly from our pier
  • Use the water slides
  • Go snorkelling (limited availability; a €10 deposit is required per mask & snorkel)
  • Relax and sunbathe
  • Discover cultural heritage (Civil War bunkers and trenches) and walk through a highly protected natural habitat
  • Enjoy our underwater viewing system “Reflex System”

During the cruise you can also admire the caves and cliffs of Menorca’s spectacular southern coastline.

Can I take the morning boat and return on the afternoon one?

No, this is not possible, as we do not always stop at the same beach and therefore cannot guarantee a return with us. You may choose to stay at the beach at your own risk.

Is the excursion suitable for families with babies and young children? And for people with reduced mobility?

Yes, it is suitable for all ages. Our excursions are of short duration and the boat is equipped with toilets, a cafeteria and space to move around while sailing. You may bring a stroller on board if you wish, although we recommend leaving it at our kiosk if you do not plan to use it during the excursion.

We have a boarding gangway that allows access to the beach without getting your feet wet.

If you have reduced mobility, you may board first, but please be sure to inform us when booking. Wheelchairs cannot be taken on board; you will need to board under your own power, but our crew will be there to assist you. When we reach the beach stop, we will recommend staying on board, as the path between the pier and the beach is steep due to the highly protected natural habitat.

If you wish to swim from the boat, we have two wide swimming ladders (pool-style) at the stern.

What is the cancellation policy or what happens in case of bad weather?

All our excursions are subject to weather conditions and the captain’s discretion, who will adapt the route to offer the best possible experience.

Our cancellation policy is one of the most flexible in the sector:

  • Free cancellation or date change up to 24 hours before departure.
  • Free cancellation or date change if we cancel due to weather conditions.
  • Free cancellation or date change if the excursion operates under uncomfortable weather conditions.

Safety is our number one priority, but we understand that weather can sometimes be challenging. Therefore, if you are someone who is sensitive to boats and prone to seasickness, and the captain issues a weather advisory (possibility of slight swell or scattered showers, etc.), you will have the option to change the date or cancel free of charge before departure.

If you have any doubts regarding the forecast, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are experienced in knowing which weather conditions may affect us and which will not. For example, even with strong winds, a northerly wind (NW, N, NE) is ideal for the south coast, as it calms and “cleans” the sea.

Our goal is for you to have the best possible experience, and we know that weather is an important factor. That is why we have created one of the best cancellation policies possible, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

That said, we are not quite as flexible with late arrivals! If you do not arrive on time (at least 5 minutes before departure), unfortunately no changes or refunds will be possible. This policy is in place for the benefit of all passengers, as time is precious and there is not a single minute to lose.

How can I make a reservation and how far in advance?

You can easily book through our website, by phone or WhatsApp at +34 618 348 006, or directly at our kiosk in Cala’n Bosch.
We recommend booking at least 72 hours in advance. The online booking process is the fastest and most convenient, and also gives you access to exclusive benefits.
