The Best Sunsets in Menorca 2026

Sunsets are among those moments that are easily remembered, and in Menorca they take on a special dimension thanks to the variety of landscapes from which they can be enjoyed. From peaceful coves to open sea viewpoints, the island offers countless spots where saying goodbye to the day becomes an experience in itself.

So, if you’re coming to discover it or rediscover it, we invite you to join us on this journey through some of the best places to watch the sunset in Menorca.

Where to watch a sunset in Menorca?

Lost in a secluded landscape, surrounded by good company at a beach bar, on the peak of a hill, or beneath the flickering light of a lighthouse… no one remains indifferent to a Menorcan sunset.

Before we continue, a clarification (and this applies to this entire article and, why not, the whole blog): we never intend to be absolute or definitive. Of course, there are many more beaches, coves and magical corners where you can watch the sun set. This is simply our personal selection, created with the hope of helping you narrow your path and discover places you might not find in other guides.

Between lighthouses and cliffs

Favaritx Lighthouse

Located in the s’Albufera des Grau Natural Park, its white silhouette with black bands looks like something out of a storybook. From here, you can watch the sun disappear into the sea horizon, and just then, the light of Favaritx lighthouse begins to flash. A magical, cinematic moment.

Cap d’Artrutx Lighthouse

In the southwest, another of Menorca’s lighthouses has been guiding ships since 1858. Although it may not be as famous as others, it deserves every minute you dedicate to it. Besides being in a spectacular setting, it now hosts the Artrutx restaurant and sea club with privileged views. Ideal for dinner with a sunset included.

Sunset on board (with cava in hand)

A unique way to experience sunset is to watch it from the sea. The perspective changes, and so does the experience. From the Bora Bora Charter yacht, you can watch the sun fade away in total privacy and a touch of luxury. The Amigo’s Sunset route also offers a privileged view facing Cap d’Artrutx. Soft music, cava, calm sea… there’s not much more you can ask from life.

The classics that never fail

Pont d’en Gil

An undisputed favourite among both locals and visitors. Very close to Ciutadella, this natural stone arch looks hand-carved. The sun sets right behind it, creating an unforgettable scene.

Beaches where the sky burns

Son Bou

Son Bou is the longest beach in Menorca. Here, the sun sets directly over the sea. You can watch it from the sand, from a nearby bar, or from a close viewpoint. There’s also a large parking area just a few steps away.

Cavalleria

On the north coast, Cavalleria Beach has a wild charm. This unspoilt beach features intense waters and a special energy. If you have time, head up to the Cavalleria Lighthouse as well. The sunset there will leave you speechless.

Beach bars with unforgettable views

Hola Ola (Cala Blanca)

A classic renewed every season. At Hola Ola there’s always a crowd, yes, but there’s always room for one more. Good vibes, good music, fair prices and a postcard-perfect sunset.

Ivette Beach Club (Cala Morell)

In the north of the island, Ivette is a spot that looks straight out of Pinterest. White terraces, carefully crafted cocktails and a spectacular setting to watch the sun disappear behind the cliffs.

From the highest point in Menorca

Monte Toro

Monte Toro is the highest point on the island, offering 360° views. From here, you can see everything: the sea, the villages, the green countryside. There’s a small sanctuary and an open esplanade to watch the day end in grand style. It’s easy to reach by car, and the plan is absolutely worth it.

A sunset can be inspiring, melancholic, even unsettling: as beautiful as it is, it signals an ending. But it also gives birth to a new beginning. And if you watch it where the sky melts into the sea, you’ll understand why we always want to experience it again.
