It all begins
at some point in history
It all started with Darío Pons, founder of Holiday Lines Menorca.
Darío began his professional career in the Merchant Navy, graduating from the Faculty of Nautical Studies in Barcelona as a Chief Officer, sailing the seven seas and discovering cultures from all over the world.
When he was not at sea, he worked in Menorca as a tour guide, until he decided to bring together his two greatest passions: the sea and tourism.
He saw the opportunity and bought the boat that would mark the beginning of this story: Heide Maria.
This is how the first sea experiences were born, anchoring at virgin beaches that at the time were only accessible by sea, where he would prepare his famous paella.
But he was not alone. By his side was his first mate, Lynn, an English woman who fell in love with the island and with a Menorquin, Captain Darío.
Together, they offered a true experience, inviting visitors to embark on an unforgettable adventure.
Day after day, new faces (along with their pets) became part of our story.
With the new century, a new millennium, and with it, change.
In the year 2000, a new and more modern vessel was built to adapt to the habits and tastes of a new generation of visitors. This marked the birth of what would become the foundation of our current brand: Amigo’s.
With this unique, custom-built boat designed for our home port, Cala’n Bosch Marina, where we have been based since the very moment the "Lago" was inaugurated.
We added a new type of service to our offer: a tailor-made experience with our exclusive charter service.
Having reached this milestone, there is no better way to celebrate than with a traditional Menorcan lobster stew (caldereta de langosta).
As the saying goes: “There are places you stay in, and places that stay within you.”
